A common question that we get asked a lot is “what can I do if I’ve slipped a disc, can you help me?” Very often people have been to see their GP or a surgeon and they’ve been told that surgery is the only option for dealing with a slipped disc.

You should know that there is a large and growing body of evidence that shows that your discs will heal and return to their normal shape under conservative care. You should also know that the outcome with a surgical procedure is a bit hit and miss. We have a section later on concerning the typical outcomes people experience after surgery. It’s spine chilling (and discussed a little later in this guide). In our experience and according to research, inversion tables and traction therapy offer the best option BAR NONE for the correction and reversal of disc bulges.
